The words arrive almost diffidently in Tim DeLaughter’s quavery high tenor. Often, he jettisons the usual melody or harmonies for different ones (like 'Silent Night' as a minor-key instrumental), though he doesn’t mess with John Lennon’s 'Happy Christmas (War Is Over).'
